Joan Hamilton

Joan Hamilton, 92, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away on March 11, 2026.  She was born on January 28, 1934, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to Stacey McCain and Anna (Basham) McCain.  Joan enjoyed watching birds in her yard, western and cooking T.V. shows, and word search puzzles.  She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  Joan was preceded in death by her parents; her husband William E. Hamilton on December 31, 2025; and siblings Steve McCain and Tom McCain.  She is survived by her children Vicki Notter (Bill Alan) of Brazil, Indiana, Penny Boyll (Tony) of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Bill Hamilton (Denise) of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandchildren Lisa, Joe, Michelle, Scott, Casey, Josh, Peter, Emily, and Luke; 13 great grandchildren; siblings Yvonne Laybold and Linda Bonness; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 1:00p.m. at Mattox - Wood Funeral Home, 4660 Lafayette Ave, Terre Haute, Indiana 47805. Mark Grayless will officiate services.  The burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 11:00a.m. until service time.
