OBITUARY
John Wesley Cox
November 20, 1958 – October 21, 2019
IN THE CARE OF
Mattox-Wood Funeral Home
The soul of John Wesley Cox, born on November 20, 1958 crossed over at 1:00 a.m. on Monday, October 21, 2019 at the age of 60 years old. He began this journey several months ago and he was never alone, always reminded how much he was eternally loved by his family, friends, and most importantly his devoted soul mate of 42 years, Rose Cox.
His wishes were followed and he crossed over at his home, free of pain, peacefully in his sleep and holding hands with his “Wosie.”
He was greeted in Heaven by his parents, a sister, in-laws, other family members and several friends he lost along life’s way.
His wife, Rose; daughters, Brookie (Dustin) and Joanna (Ronnie); and three grandchildren, Cierra “Ci-Ci Rosie Bud” Orndorff, Dylan “Whopper” Orndorff, and Colton “My Little Buddy” Cox will all forever love him and miss his voice, laughter, amazing personality, and gentle, unconditional love. He is also survived by several siblings, extended family, and friends.
“It’s never goodbye, Dad, but only until we see you again. We love you, Dad, so much!”
John’s family would like to give a great big thank you to Kindred Hospice for their help and especially to his sister-in-law, Sheila Coleman for her love, support, and dedication to her “sister Rose” and “Coxy.”
The shell of John’s soul will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Mattox-Wood Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.mattoxwood.com
