Julie was born to Frank and Jean Hines on March 31, 1974 in Terre Haute. She went on to graduate from North Vigo High School in 1993 and received her associate's degree in child development from St. Mary of the Woods. She worked at the Kids Zone and later at the Hamilton Learning Center.
She was the biggest animal lover, loved flowers, and being outside. She had the biggest heart and was willing to help anyone in need. She truly never knew a stranger. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Julie is survived by her husband John Wassill, mother (Doris) Jean Hines (Greenlee), brother Robert L. Hines, sister Carol Archer (Gene), and a large extended family.
She is preceded in death by her father Frank Hines, sister Francis Crabb, and her grandparents William and Flora Greenlee.
A visitation will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 11 to 1 pm at Roselawn Funeral Home with services to follow.
