Kenneth E McMillin

Kenneth E. McMillin, 86, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away July 14, 2026, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Terre Haute, Indiana, on July 14, 1940, to Kenneth Eugene McMillin and Hazel L. (Grammer) McMillin. They had two children, Kenneth Tod (Angie) McMillin and Lori (Britt) Petty, and 5 grandchildren Tara (Jesse) Merriman, Nathan (Heather) McMillin, Ellese Petty, Jessie (Matt) Ingram, and Cade Petty, along with four great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 63 years Sandy Jorritsma McMillin, his parents Kenneth and Hazel McMillin, sister Wannitta Brownson, and in-laws Tod Arthur Jorritsma and Barbara Ann Jones Jorritsma .  Kenny was very loving and passionate husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Kenny spent most of his life involved in showing horses and cheering on his grandchildren and all their endeavors. Kenny deeply loved showing horses and their horse show community. He was always sharing his knowledge and love of horses with young cowboys and cowgirls. The McMillin family was inducted into the National Pole Bending Hall of Fame in 2015. Kenny held membership with the Vigo County Sheriff Posse. He was also a member of the Teamsters local 135 and employed by Freitag-Weinhardt until retirement.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 11:00a.m. in Roselawn Funeral Home, 7500 N Clinton Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47805. The burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday, July 20, 2026, from 4:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00a.m. until service time. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Reins of Life. The memorial contribution helps children and adults with disabilities reach life-changing goals and gain a greater level of independence.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
