Larry J. Jessie

Larry Joe Lee Jessie, 76, of Terre Haute passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016. He was born December 11, 1939 in Terre Haute, Indiana to George Washington and Leona Bledsoe Jessie. He retired from the United States Postal Service and served in the United States Marine Corps.

Larry is survived by a daughter, Jo Dee Jessie Biddle and husband Jeff, and sons, Jeremy Lee Jessie and John Michael Jessie, all of Terre Haute. He is also survived by a sister Delma Loretta Hale and husband Tom of Cape Coral, Florida. Larry has four grandchildren, Katie Lanting and husband Cooper of Phoenix, Arizona, James Parvin and wife Chrystal of Indianapolis, Larry Parvin and wife Chelsea of Plainfield, Indiana, and Gavin DeVanis of Terre Haute. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Hayden Parvin, Addison Parvin, and Soren Cooper. Larry leaves behind a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and all the wonderful caregivers who have helped him manage the progression of Parkinson’s Disease.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Wanda Hale.

Services in Larry’s honor will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Roselawn Funeral Home with a visitation prior from 11:00am-1:00pm. Memorial contributions can be sent to the VNA Hospice or the MJF Foundation.
