She was a 1948 graduate of Rosedale High School. She worked as an assistant case manager for West Central Indiana Economic Development District.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Robert Wayne Handlin; two grandsons; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Melva Williams and Eleanor McClara.
She is survived by three daughters, Dianna Dale Zamani, of Indianapolis, Linda Lee Matherly of Terre Haute and Jeraldine Handlin Sowards of Terre Haute; two sons, Terry Lane Handlin, of Terre Haute, and Garry Wayne Handlin of Terre Haute; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Frist Funeral Home, with services Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Online condolences may be made at:
