Linda Rae Jordan

Linda Rae Jordan, 80, of Terre Haute passed away at Union Hospital surrounded by loved ones. She was born April 9, 1946 to John and Norma Hickman Swinford in Paris, IL. She married Terry L. Jordan on January 12, 1980 and celebrated 36 years together until his passing on Aug 10, 2016. She was SR. Vice president to the VFW 972 Auxiliary for many years, member to Red Hat Society, Indy Hot Wheels Club of Indianapolis. She worked at Zenith, Columbia house and retired from Pillsbury. She was an avid gardener, TY beanie and porcelain doll collector. She loved cooking so much she went to work at Fontanet Tavern. She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, her son Dwayne Andrews, her daughter Brenda Andrews, her granddaughter Nicole Andrews, her great-grandson Francisco, grandmother Irene Hickman, Sister Sharon Wagner, Brothers Richard and Micheal Swinford, and Aunt Geraldine Glazner. She is survived by her grandchildren; Justin Andrews, Megan, Tiffany, and Lauren Targett(and their father Allen), Bradi Andrews, Ashley H, Jennifer, Kayla, Aaron, Ashley P, Cameron, Jeffrey, Rachel, Jordan, and Allison. Great-Grandchildren Jordan, Jocalyn, Jaxen and 24 others. She is also survived by sons Brad Andrews(Polly) and Michael Jordan(Teresa). Daughters Rhonda Carter(Kevin), Michelle Andrews and Wendi Jewell(Kelly). Also surviving are her seven siblings; Beverly Andrews, JoAnne Hixon, Barbara Holmes(Larry), Carla Wallace(Donnie), Gail Bryan, Jan Clifton(Dan), and Johnny Swinford. Also surviving is her Aunt Marcella Foncannon, Several Nieces and Nephews. Special friends Margarita and Barbara Ann. Also want to give a special thanks to the Nurses, Therapists, and Aides from Amedisys Home health during this past year.

Visitation will be held at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home, 4660 Lafayette Avenue, Terre Haute, IN 47805, US, on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. A Committal Service will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park.
