Lois Darlene Clark

Lois Darlene Clark passed away March 19, 2015 at home with her family around her. She was 89 years young. Lois was born to Zollie and Vincel Walters on Christmas Day of 1925 in Dugger Indiana. Lois graduated from Dugger Union High School then married Gilbert J. Clark on July 13, 1947. They raised 6 children together and she is survived by all 6. Linda Laffoon and husband Steve, Dixie Clark, Chet Clark and wife Terry, Joy Clark, Kim Clark, and Ruth Higgins and husband Tim. Her flock includes 14 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren and a large extended family. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Ruth Ilene Phillips, her husband Gilbert and a grandson Miles Clark Murphy.

Lois loved her flowers, gardening, bird watching and just sitting back taking in the wild life going by around her beautiful home.

Lois spent 16 years as executive housekeeper at Best Western Hotel in Terre Haute and several years doing promotional sampling, but her greatest role in life was being a wife mother and grandmother. Lois’ Love, Strength, Determination and Presence were a guiding force and role model for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
