

Lucille May Eddy, 91, of Terre Haute, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014. She was born on November 29, 1923, in Terre Haute, to the late Edward and Ida Belle (McClain) Muston. She married Kenneth Eddy on August 4, 1941 and he preceded her in death. Lucille was also preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Eddy and all of her siblings.
Lucille is survived by her children, Kenneth Eddy and wife Janet, and Donna K. Eddy-Jeffers, all of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Donna May Jeffers of Terre Haute; Billie Jeffers, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; Theresa Szpila and husband Sean of Shepardsville, KY; Ginger Kay Butts and husband Rob of Jacksonville, FL; Brian Eddy of Terre Haute; and Tammy Root and husband Devlin of Jacksonville, FL; great-grandchildren: Michael Jeffers, Shane Szpila, Hailey Szpila, Kyle Eddy, Joshua Eddy, Kaylee Eddy, Madlyn Butts, Tani Jeffers, and Noah Jeffers.
Lucille was a wonderful mother. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lucille led a wonderful life. She attended Good Shepherd Baptist Church for many years. Lucille’s family would like to thank the staff at Meadows Manor North for the compassionate and excellent care that she received during her stay.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 on Tuesday, December 9 at Thomas Funeral Home. Services will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Kevin Szwarga officiating.
