

Margaret Prather “Peg” Pfrank, 92, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2012 at Kindred – Southwood. She was born February 18, 1919 in Vincennes, the daughter of Roy and Lona (Mezo) Prather. Peg was united in marriage to Robert Pfrank and together they shared over 68 years of loving marriage until he passed away on October 18, 2011. She was a 1937 graduate of Vincennes Lincoln High School. Peg attended Indiana Business College and Indiana State University. She spent several years working as a bookkeeper and was a co-owner of Pfrank Plumbing and Heating with her husband, Bob. She enjoyed knitting, reading mystery novels, bowling and traveling. Peg’s favorite pursuit was spending time with her family. She’ll forever be remembered as dedicated wife; a loving mother, who was quick to help with activities when her children were younger; a caring and generous “Ma Peg” to her four grandchildren and a kind and loving sister, aunt and friend. Peg was a member of the First Baptist Church of Terre Haute, the Sigma Phi Gamma Business Sorority and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Daughters of the Nile. She served as national secretary for the Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors Association.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, Jerry Tomlinson and her husband Tom of Tabernash, CO, Pat LaMaster, and Stephen Pfrank and his wife Sue, all of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Lee LaMaster and his wife Ann of Arizona, Jill Tomlinson-Phillips and her husband Dan of New Jersey, Carolyn Pfrank of Bloomington, and Danny Pfrank of Terre Haute; great-grandchildren, Ava LaMaster and Ivy Phillips; sister, Norma Lee Brower and her husband William of Naples, FL; sister-in-law, Marilyn Prather of Palm Harbor, FL as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Peg was preceded in death by her sister, Katherine Meek and her brother, Bobby Prather.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. and again on Monday, January 9, 2012 from 10 a.m. until the time of Peg’s funeral at 11 a.m. at the Roselawn Funeral Home. Pastor Abe Miller will officiate with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the VNA/Hospice of the Wabash Valley.
