Martha Jane Davis

Martha “Janie” Jane Davis (Coffey), age 81, of Terre Haute, passed away on April 23, 2026.She was born on September 12, 1944, in Lafayette to Shoff Coffey and Eva May Stultz. She attended Fowler High School and graduated in 1962.

Martha “Janie” was a loving mother, devoted grandmother, and cherished great grandmother. She enjoyed reading and loved going out to eat, where laughter, conversation, and time with her family meant the most to her. She was known for the dishes she poured love into and the joy she found in cooking for those she cared about. She attended beauty school and later went on to own and operate two beauty shops for many years, where she built lasting relationships within her community. She had a gentle spirit and a kind heart, always putting others before herself. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she created memories that will be cherished forever.

She is survived by her children, Angela (Jim) Girdler, Bradley (Shelly) Davis, and Connie McKinney; her grandchildren, Joshua (Rachel) Girdler, Jason Girdler, Jessica (Andrew) Haist, Brandon (Morgan) Ruemler, Cole Davis, Megan Davis, Sabrina (Justin) McKinney, and Walter “Petey” (Gabriella) McKinney; along with her twenty great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Shoff Coffey and Eva May Stultz; her brothers, Ronald Coffey and Garry Coffey; and her former husband, Donald Davis.

Her love, kindness, and the memories she created will live on in all who knew and loved her
