

CLINTON — Martha Marie Kanizer, 87, of Clinton, Ind., passed away at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Clinton Gardens in Clinton. She was born in Elva, Tenn., March 8, 1928, to Isaac Marion King and Hattie Bell Hatfield King.
Martha was a homemaker. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and Sacred Heart Women’s Club. She had a great love for family and will be missed by all.
Martha and Joseph H. Kanizer were wed July 3, 1948, and he preceded her in death Oct. 9, 2010. She was also preceded by her parents, two brothers, and five sisters, including her identical twin.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Jeanette Milligan and husband, Marvin, of Clinton; one son, Joseph Wayne Kanizer of Cape Coral, Fla.; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a prayer service at 12:45 p.m. Monday, July 27, at Giovanini Funeral Home, followed by Mass of Christian burial at 1 p.m at Sacred Heart Church. Father Varghese Malikkal will officiate. Martha will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park in Terre Haute. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
