Mary Ann Allen

Mary Ann Allen, 76, of Lampasas, TX, formerly of Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014, at Spring Oaks Nursing and Rehab in Lampasas. She was born on August 7, 1937, in Terre Haute, to Ralph and Lista (Camp) Muncie. She married Hansel “Hank” Allen.

Mary Ann worked for many years as a nurse’s aide. She loved listening to music and collecting Elvis memorabilia. Mary Ann enjoyed reading in her spare time. She cherished her family and will be truly missed.

Mary Ann is survived by her children: Kandra Borders and Elwood “Lenny” Blair; step-daughters, Debbie Gilbert, Angie Petra, and Mary Lou Ann Gilbert; a brother, Clarence Muncie; sisters, Barbara Galbraith, Pam Brown, Mildred Smith, and Anne Roth; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hansel Allen; her parents; and a brother, Ralph Muncie, Jr.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 27 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Mary Ann will be laid to rest next to her husband in Roselawn Memorial Park. Kind words and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.roselawnfuneralhome.net
