Mary Evelyn Dailey, 91, of Brazil and formerly of Terre Haute, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019, at Cloverleaf Healthcare of Knightsville. She was born on June 25, 1927, in Terre Haute, to Leo and Edith (Osborn) Price.
Mary is survived by her sons, Thurman Dailey and wife Karen of Marshall, IL; Stephen Dailey and wife Diane of Lee’s Summit, MO; and Roger Dailey and wife Robin of Brazil; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three sisters; and one brother.
She was greeted in Heaven by her parents; her husband, Ova “Bud” Dailey; a grandchild; and several siblings.
Mary graduated from Wiley High School. She was a member of First Baptist Church of North Terre Haute. She loved reading, especially her Bible and other Biblical literature. A talented quilter, Mary made quilts by hand for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her husband, Bud, enjoyed quilting alongside her. The quilts were made with love and will forever be cherished by her family. Mary loved watching for red birds and enjoyed flowers. She will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held from noon until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26 at Roselawn Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will be held at 2 p.m., at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Carey officiating.
