

Mary E. Englehart, beloved aunt, cousin and friend, went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Monday, January 23, 2012 at the age of 95 at Meadows Manor North. Mary was born in Terre Haute on September 11, 1916, the daughter of Renos R. and Ruth Marie (Effner) Fell. She was a graduate of Glenn High School, and later went on to retire from GTE as a toll operator. Mary was a gracious, kind and caring woman, who enjoyed crocheting, knitting and making crafts for her friends and family. She was a devout woman of faith, and a faithful member of the Maplewood Christian Church. She leaves behind several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins, as well as her special friends, Margaret Fortner, Shirley Ray, Art & Marie Plummer, Pat McClure, Phyllis Dickerson, Karen Stout, James Engle, Wilma Sellars and Sharon Hunt; her special cousin, Mary Alice Dewey, along with several other dear friends.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of twenty four years, F. Eugene Englehart, who passed away in 2002, along with her brother, Billy and wife Bette Fell and sister, Jane and husband James Zimmerman.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of Mary’s Funeral at 1 p.m. at the Roselawn Funeral Home in Terre Haute. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Mary may be directed to the Sonshine Center at Maplewood Christian Church.
