

Born on April 8, 1938, in Terre Haute, Indiana, Mary Lou was the daughter of Mary Ann and Elmer Mann. She graduated from Garfield High School in 1956 and married the love of her life, Darrel Jennings, in 1958.
Early in her marriage, Mary Lou worked as a receptionist at Hulman and Company. After becoming a mother, she dedicated herself to raising her family, a role she cherished above all others. She generously volunteered her time in her children's schools, serving on committees including the Mothers Assist Teachers in Reading and Math Committee. Her commitment to her community continued through her membership in the Terre Haute Regional Hospital Guild and as one of the longest active members of the Terre Haute Women's Club, where she chaired fundraising events supporting the Women's Club Shoe Bus program. Later, after her children were grown, Mary Lou served as the administrative assistant at the Swope Art Gallery in Terre Haute for several years.
Mary Lou found great joy in spending time with family and friends. She had a love for art, fashion, interior design, and golf, and especially treasured the many lunch dates she shared with her beloved sister, Carolyn. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, grace, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
She is survived by her son, Darrel Jennings, Jr. (Lisa); her daughter, Roxanne Krieg (Jim); her four grandsons, Sean Krieg (Shelby), Brett Krieg (Corrin), Nathan Jennings (Jade), and Joshua Jennings; her brothers, David Mann (Marjorie), Tom Mann (Carolyn), and Larry Mann; her sister, Carolyn Mann; and her two cherished great-grandchildren, Scarlett and Cade Krieg.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Darrel Jennings, and her parents, Mary Ann and Elmer Mann.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Roselawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Bob Roush officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Mary Lou's family will forever cherish her love, strength, and the many memories she created throughout her life. Her legacy of kindness, service, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
