Mary Schutte

Mary Emma Schutte, 82, passed away Saturday, September 3, peacefully in her sleep. She was born on April 4, 1929, in Terre Haute to Ernest and Grace Julia (May) Braun. She married Ted Huggins and together they raised two daughters. He preceded her in death in 1985. She later married Robert Schutte and he preceded her in death in 2006. Mary spent many of her years as a homemaker and enjoyed baking and sewing. She loved to play golf and was a member of numerous organizations.

Mary is survived by her daughters: Carol Huggins of Las Vegas and Leslie Hook and her husband Jim of Godfrey, IL; grandchildren Rory McDaniel and his wife Kate of Anderson, SC, Evan McDaniel and his wife Faith of St. Jacob, IL, Eric Timion of Las Vegas, and Matthew Timion of Salt Lake City, numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley McAnally of Shelburn and Sharon Lynch of Indianapolis, a brother Robert Braun of Brazil, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved cat, Molly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and 6 siblings, Virginia Galbraith, Bill Braun, Ernest Braun, Jr., Delores Swenson, Ed Braun, and Juanita Braun.

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 10 from noon to 1 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be Saturday, September 10 at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Leach officiating. Burial will take place in Roselawn Memorial Park.
