Matilda Ann Ferrand

Matilda (Tillie) Ferrand, 86, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2026, at home while being lovingly cared for by her family, Tim and Tammy Manley. She was born September 26, 1939, in Coal Bluff, Indiana to Edward and Agnes Webster. After high school, she worked at Davis Gardens and later in the bakery at Great Scott Grocery Store. She was well known for her kindness and the laughter she always brought to everyone who knew her.

She enjoyed attending church, baking, crafts, spending time with her family, and her dog, LeeAnn. Her faith was very important to her. For many years, she attended Grace Temple Church in Terre Haute and recently had been attending Calvary Temple Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Ferrand; brothers, Eddie Webster, George Webster, Billy Joe Webster, Edward Webster, Ernest Webster; and sisters, Betty Butts and June Harden.

Survivors include her sister, Patsy Miller, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services will be held at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home, 4660 North Lafayette Avenue, Terre Haute, Indiana 47805 on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Services will be officiated by Bishop Murray Galloway. Interment will immediately follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery, 1010 N County Road 200 W, Brazil, Indiana 47834.

Following the funeral, a repast will be held at The Life Center, 2955 Erie Canal Road, Terre Haute, Indiana 47802.
