

Maureen Ann Grider, 79, of Terre Haute passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017, at Union Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 30, 1938, in Terre Haute, to William Alexander and Josephine Ester (Fischer) Sullivan. She married Robert L. Grider on August 8, 1959.
Maureen is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert Grider of Terre Haute; children, Jerri Lee Laubert and husband Brent of Terre Haute; Robert Joseph Grider of Terre Haute; and John David Grider and wife Amy of Martinsville, IN; grandchildren, Chloe Laubert of Terre Haute; Cameron Laubert of Terre Haute, and Sierra May Grider of Martinsville; a brother, Jerry Sullivan and wife Pat of Delaware; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Jack Sullivan.
Maureen graduated from Gerstmeyer Tech High School. She was a member of First Baptist Church of West Terre Haute. She worked for many years as a cook for the Vigo County Home and later as a weekend cook for Vigo County Jail. Maureen was an excellent cook and enjoyed taking care of her home. She loved to spend time with her family and her little dog, Poncho.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 2 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home with Dave Roberts officiating.
