She was born on October 1, 1923 in Farmersburg to May and Emil Mundell.
Melba was welcomed into heaven by her husband; James Ross Berry, Sr.; her son, James Ross Berry, Jr., her daughter Charlene May Berry; her parents May and Emil Mundell; four brothers; and many other family members.
Surviving are her grandson, James Ross Berry, III and wife Kendra Hope Berry; and a granddaughter, Angela Marie Berry; six great grandchildren; a brother Charles Mundell; and other extended family.
Private graveside services were held at Roselawn Memorial Park, where Melba was laid to rest next to her husband and children.
