

Nancy Sue Durr, age 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 25, 2025 at the AccentCare Hospice Inpatient Center in Dunedin, Florida. She was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on February 27,1946 to the late Edgar Richard Snow and Hazel Leonna Snow.
Nancy met the love of her life, Robert Wayne Durr in the 6th grade and married him on June 14, 1964 and recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at a celebration in Nashville, Tennessee. Nancy graduated from Garfield High School in 1964. Nancy worked at R.R. Donnelley, was a homemaker, raised her 3 children, until she began working at Duke Energy (formerly PSI/Cinergy) as a secretary in the Engineering Department, until she retired and moved to Florida.
From an early age, Nancy attended church attending Valley Church (formerly First Baptist Church of North Terre Haute), Eighth Avenue Baptist Church in Terre Haute, Indiana and recently Calvary Baptist Church, in Clearwater, Florida. Nancy loved music and played the piano and organ for the church for many years. Nancy’s special skill was playing by ear, not needing to read music. Nancy had a beautiful alto voice and sang in many singing groups and choirs.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Robert Wayne Durr; her son Gregg Durr (Karen); her daughter Amy Certain (Anthony); her son Jason Durr; grandchildren Nick Durr (Kaitland), Adrian Durr (Jessica); Alex Certain (Olivia); Austin Certain (Hallie); Emily Clapp (Chris); Gracie Durr; Isaac Durr; Paislee Durr; great grandchildren Max Durr; Harleigh Durr, with 2 new great-grandchildren on the way (Nick & Kaitland and Alex & Liv). Nancy is also survived by her brother Ray Snow (Faye); her brother Dick Snow; sister-in-law’s Patty Snow and Rose Snow.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents Edgar Richard Snow and Hazel Leonna Snow; her sister Virginia Doolittle (Wayne); her brother Fred Snow; her brother Don Snow (Carolyn); her brother Larry Snow; sister-in-law Maggie Snow and a very important woman and mother-in-law Jean Durr Thurman.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, May 3rd, in Terre Haute, Indiana. Please come when you can and join us to celebrate the life of Nancy at the Hope House at 2032 N. 13th Street from 12:00pm-3:00pm. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
