Nettie Steward

Nettie Irene All Steward, 86, of Terre Haute, departed this life at 10:52 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, in McKinney, Texas. She was born March 5, 1927 in Terre Haute, to Charles Herman All and Effie Evelyn Clark All. She married Ruel Frank Steward Jr. in 1947, and together raised four children. Over the years she worked at Camp Atterbury during World War II, Indiana Bell Telephone Company, and Union Hospital from which she retired.

Nettie is survived by her four children, Pamela (Jess) Lowe of North Vernon, Indiana, Stephen (Vicki) Steward of Terre Haute, Indiana, Karen (Jim) Kiefer of McKinney, Texas, and Keith (Vickie) Steward of Covington, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Stephanie (Josh) Stonebraker, Sarah Lowe, Matthew (Meghan) Steward, Michael Kiefer, Matthew Kiefer, Kristina Steward, Colin Kiefer, and Gabriell & Shyane Steward; two great-grandchildren, Emma and Maclane Stonebraker, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister, Katrina All Rumple and brother, Max All both of Terre Haute.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ruel Frank Steward Jr., son, Larry Ruel Steward, and sister, Audrey All Wilkie.

A celebration of life is scheduled for 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Roselawn Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to attend to visit and share stories and memories about Nettie.
