Norman Wayne Jones
June 6, 1929 – October 4, 2018

Norman Wayne Jones, 89, passed away Oct. 4, 2018, in Fort Wayne. He was born June 6, 1929, in Terre Haute, to Alfred Jones and Mabel (Jones) Jones.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Curt Jones; and sister, Elzora Loudermilk.
Norm is survived by his wife of 66 years, Edith Grace (Pamplin) Jones; two sons, Gary (Susan) Jones of Seattle and Curt (Barbara) Jones of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren, Danielle (Brandt) Kincaid, Jacqueline (Justin) Sims, Curt Norman (Nancy) Jones, David Jones, Jacob Jones, Matthew Jones, Rachel Jones, Theresa Jones, Annamarie Jones and Isaiah Jones; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Virginia Peters of Terre Haute.
Norm retired from Alcan, where he worked in the stores for many years. He also worked in Security at Sony DADC. He was an Army veteran serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Poe Christian Church in Fort Wayne, a 63-year member and former vice commander of the Krietenstein American Legion Post 104, Knights of Columbus Council 541, and the 40 & 8 Terre Haute.
He enjoyed hunting and was a great fisherman who always loved a great fishing hole!
Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018, from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with services to follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with military honors by Krietenstein American Legion Post 104. Norm will be entombed in the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum at Roselawn Memorial Park.
