

Norman W. Wilson, 72, of Heritage Lake, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2013, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 21, 1941, in Indianapolis, to Homer and Mary (Stamps) Wilson. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Detroit Diesel Allisons. Norman loved to build things and figure out how things worked. He enjoyed going shopping in his spare time. He loved spending time with his Shih Tsu, Itty Bit. Norman was a member of the Cloverdale American Legion.
He is survived by his children, Jeffery Wayne Wilson and wife Stephanie of Winston-Salem, NC, Debbie Suter and husband Jerry of Heritage Lake, and Becky Wilson of Avon; grandchildren, Jennifer N. Wilson of Winston-Salem, Ronald Short, Jr., and wife Ami of Austin, TX, Alyssa Short of Indianapolis and Jerry Suter, Jr. and wife Anita of Heritage Lake; a great-grandson Landen; a sister Ruthene Owens of Indianapolis.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Darrell Wilson and Charles Wilson and two sisters Bernadine Knox and Shirley Wilson.
Visitation will be held from noon until 2 on Monday, September 9 at Roselawn Funeral Home, Terre Haute. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Online condolences may be expressed at www.roselawnfuneralhome.net
