

Ova “Bud” L. Dailey, 86, of Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013, at his residence. He was born on March 14, 1926, in Worthington, to Thurman and Aluah Dailey. He married Mary E. Price and together they raised three sons. Bud worked until his retirement for Conrail as a car repairman. He was a member of North Terre Haute Baptist Church where he actively participated as the Bus Ministry Director. He was fondly known by the children who rode the bus as “Mr. Bud.” He enjoyed hard work. He loved gardening, and most of all, his family.
Bud is survived by his wife Mary; their sons, Thurman Leo Dailey and his wife Karen of Marshall, IL, Stephen Dailey and his wife Diane of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Roger Dailey and his wife Robin of Brazil; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 24 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will be held on Friday, January 25, at North Terre Haute Baptist Church with Pastors Mark Tobey and Paul P. Carey officiating. Entombment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park.
