

Paul W. Eikelman, 80, of Seymour and formerly of Terre Haute, passed away Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, in his residence. He was a retired steelworker for Stran Steel. Paul was born Nov. 18, 1934, in Jasonville to John Eikelman and Docia (Lynch) Eikelman.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nancy (Byers) Eikelman; sons, Fred Eikelman and wife, Sandra, of Hartsville, Mark Eikelman of Chicago, and Steve Eikelman and wife, Patty, of Wichita, Kan.; grandchildren, Nicholas Eikelman, Emma Eikelman and Lily Eikelman; a sister, Pam Edwards of Lizton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Shirley Eikelman and Melba May; and two brothers, Dave Eikelman and Ronald “Bo” Eikelman.
Paul was a sergeant in the U.S. Army and served in Germany after World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and a devoted Christian.
Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, 2015, in DeBaun Funeral Homes, Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Dr. Services are 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, in the funeral home, with Pastor Mark Grayless officiating.
