Peter was a father, a son, a brother, cousin, and a friend. He loved the Indianapolis Colts, heavy metal music (specifically Iron Maiden, but don’t you dare ask him if he likes Metallica), and cooking. He spent his early 20’s working as a sous-chef at Pino’s Il Sonetto where he put his natural talent as an Italian chef to work, and learned so much. He worked at many other restaurants after that, but talked often of his time at Pino’s.
In 1995, Peter and his entire family were devastated by the loss of their beloved mother, Doris. Unfortunately, he had a long, hard road of grief, addiction, and mental health issues ahead of him that he struggled with for his remaining time on earth. Peter was stubborn, kind, generous, and so, so funny. He was the life of every party he attended, and so many of his family and friends have stories about him that will make you laugh until you cry.
Above all else, Peter was loved.
Peter is survived by his daughter Kayleigh, his twin brother Patrick, and brother Michael, and his sisters Teresa and Regina. He also has many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Doris and Anthony, his oldest brother Tony, his sisters Marion and Debra, and his nephew Jason.
In lieu of flowers or donations, the family asks that you take a moment to check in with someone you know that is struggling alone with addiction and/or mental health issues, and do your best to get them the help they need. Loving someone with these conditions can be hard, and all we can do is try, but we must try.
