Phyllis I. Bridges, 77, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2014, at 3:59 pm in Union Hospital. Phyllis was born on May 5, 1936, in Hymera, Indiana, to Carl and Vonda Bridwell. Phyllis was a member of Oregon Baptist Church.
Phyllis is survived her by son Carl Bridges; a very special friend, Rose Elkins; two grandchildren, Sara Bridges and Isaac Buell; 2 great-grandchildren, David and Izabella; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Bridges; her parents Carl and Vonda Bridwell; her son, Robert “Lenny” Bridges; and a sister, Sondra.
Services will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2014, at 7:00 pm in Roselawn Funeral Home with a visitation to be held from 3:00 pm until the time of the service. Reverend Ron Riggs will be officiating. Words of comfort and support may be left online at www.roselawnfuneralhome.net
