Ralph E. Downing Jr.

Ralph Everett Downing Jr., 73, passed away with his family by his side Monday, November 26, 2018. He was born December 22, 1944 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Ralph Everett and Mary (Remlinger) Downing Sr. After serving his country in the Army, he was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and the American Legion. In his free time, he loved to fish, golf, bowl, and spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Vicky Cherepkai. Ralph is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sharon (Tomlinson) Downing; his daughter, Terri (David) Fields; his son, Ralph (LeeAnn) Downing III; his grandchildren, Matthew Fields and his companion, Heather Eichhorn, Nicholas (Olivia) Fields, Zachary Fields, Malory Yatsko, Nicholas Yatsko, Elizabeth Downing; his great-grandchildren, Ava Fields, Christopher Fields, Luna Fields; his brother, Larry (Kaye) Downing; and his aunt, Rose Henneman. Visitation will be Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 11:00am-1:00pm at First Church of the Nazarene, 801 Ft. Harrison Rd. Terre Haute, Indiana 47804.
