Ralph was a graduate of Clinton High School. He entered the US Army, serving his country in Germany.
Ralph retired from the US Postal Service annex as a clerk.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Shirley Hoff Hayes; and a sister, Betty Joseph.
Surviving are his children, Tracey Fisher and husband Steve, Jean Ann Alumbaugh and husband Don, and Jeff Hayes and wife Jan; a sister, Doris VanDuyn; six grandchildren, Shelby Koch and husband Joe, Chelsea Fisher, Carly Fisher, Heather Hayes, Jason Barnes and wife Amber, Torrey Hayden and husband Michael, April Tyler and husband Scott; and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Ralph was an avid golfer, and loved to woodwork. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family.
A Celebration of Life for Ralph and Shirley will be held at a later date.
