

Rex Don Jarvis, Sr., 72 passed away, Monday, October 1, 2012. He was born March 30, 1940, in Montezuma, Indiana to Donald Max Jarvis and Florence Marie Murray Jarvis. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife and best friend of 49 years, Betty Ann Crabtree Jarvis. He served his country proudly and faithfully (1957 – 1977) and retired from the United States Marine Corps. He worked for the State of Indiana as a Veterans Representative until he retired in 2001. Rex served as a Commander for the American Legion in Rockville, Indiana during the 1980’s and was a member of the VFW and the AMVETS.
Rex is survived by his children, Carlotta Danette Jarvis Wildman (Danny) of Tangier, IN, Rex Don Jarvis, Jr. of Rockville, IN, Patricia Louise Crowell (George) of Phoenix, AR, Donald Max Jarvis (Candy) of Rosedale, IN, Kyle Edward Jarvis of Kissimmee, FL, and Bonnie Sue Dean of Daytona Beach, FL. His grandchildren, Kevin Wildman of Tangier, IN, Ashley Ridenour (David) of Mooresville, IN, Tracy Jarvis of Rockville, IN, Mathew Lenne (Monica) of Phoenix, AR, Donavon Jarvis of Rockville, IN, Kaitlyn Jarvis of Rosedale, IN, Joshua Umphries of Daytona, FL, Devin Jarvis of Clinton, IN and his great-grandchildren, Jacey, Jaden, Isaac, Kylee, Brandon, and Hope. He is also survived by his sister-in-law whom he adored, Patricia Louise Crabtree Watts (Joe) of Montezuma, IN.
Roselawn Funeral Home was entrusted with his arrangements. Visitation will be Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 6:00pm until the time of his memorial service at 7:00pm. Military honors will be performed by the Marine Corps League of Terre Haute, Indiana at the American legion in Rockville, Indiana. Online condolences may be left at roselawnfuneralhome.net.
