Robert Colyer, 85, of Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. He was born on December 25, 1929, in Clinton, Indiana to Delbert and Lila Colyer. He served in the National Guard from 1948-1956. He was a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge of Terre Haute, Fraternal Order of Eagles 291, and the Half Century Club in Clinton. Robert retired from Kroger’s after 44 years as a butcher. He always enjoyed good company.
Robert is survived by his sons, Mason Colyer and Morgan Colyer and his wife Brooke; a step-daughter Margie Lawson; brother Billy Colyer and sister Marilyn Locke and her husband Robert. He is also survived by many grandchildren as well as several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Margaret and James Jones, his parents, his wife Linda Colyer, and a nephew David Colyer.
A visitation will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 19 at Roselawn Funeral Home with a service to follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jason Weir officiating.
