Robert Eugene Daub, 68, of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 10, 1951, in Terre Haute to Paul and Betty Jean (Francis) Daub.

Bob is survived by his wife of 15 years, Carol (Cash) Daub; children, Robert E. “Bob” Daub II (Jan), Mary Lou Harper, Bev Prettyman, Jim Whitner, Cheryl Hedden (Kevin Kemp), Troy Cash (Peggy), and Mike Robinson; a brother, Kenny Daub; sixteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mary Ann Daub; son, Bob Montgomery; and a sister, Paulette Holmes.

Bob worked for many years as a welder and mechanic for the Vigo County Highway Department. The value of hard work was not lost on Bob, he never missed a day. Bob instilled a love of work in his family, and one of their fondest memories was building a gazebo together. When he wasn’t working, building something, fixing cars, or helping farm, Bob loved to relax by going fishing with his wife, Carol. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Bob will forever be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be truly missed, he was one of a kind.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 15 at Roselawn Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home. Bob will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.roselawnfuneralhome.net
