Robert Edward Knight Jr.

Robert Edward Knight, Jr., 73, of Mooresville and formerly of Terre Haute, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at his residence. He was born on August 7, 1945 in Terre Haute to Robert Knight, Sr. and Erma Knight. Robert is survived by his sons: Tom Knight and his wife Kim of Mooresville and Ted Knight of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Ben Knight of Mooresville, Ian and Isabella Knight, both of Franklin; and a brother, James Knight. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Deloris Knight; and a sister, Stella Knight. Robert graduated from Gerstmeyer High School. He worked as a carpenter for Newlin-Johnson. He later became a partner at M.R. Keys, Inc. Robert loved anything that raced, especially go-karts. He enjoyed working on both cars and karts. In his spare time, he loved to go to the race track. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 10 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Robert will be laid to rest next to his wife in Roselawn Memorial Park.
