Robert Eugene Watson

Rev. Robert Eugene “Bud” Watson, 88, of Terre Haute went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 28, 2017.
Bud was born on March 8, 1929 in Otwell, Indiana to David Lee Watson and Lela Leslie Watson.
He served his country in the Army and Marine Corps. Reserves; and graduated from Trinity Bible College.
Bud followed in his mother’s footsteps as an Evangelist, and faithfully served the Church of the Nazarene in the communities of St. Bernice, IN; Paris, IL; Princeton, IN; Bloomington, IN; and Bryan, OH for over 52 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and seven siblings, Pauline, Bill, Leora, David, Emma, Ethel and Eleanor.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Ruthalene Watson; three children, Elaine Watson of Evansville; Jay Watson and Elaina Sharp of Terre Haute; and Robert Eugene “Rob” Watson, II and wife Dr. Peggy Watson of Bryan, OH; a sister Blanche Ames; four grandchildren, Christian, Joseph, Tucker, and Chelcie; two great-grandsons, Jayveon and Jylan, and a great-granddaughter, Braelyn.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 1 P.M. at the Terre Haute First Church of the Nazarene, 801 Fort Harrison Road, with Rev. Larry Mathis officiating. Interment will be private at Roselawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11 A.M. until time of services at the church.
