Rodney Lee Rod Hendrixson

Rod was born on March 23, 1968, the son of Jack R. and Glenda J. (Alsman) Hendrixson. He was united in marriage to Teresa Harrison in August of 1990. He was a 1986 graduate of Rosedale High School, and also graduated from Indiana State University in 1990.

Rod worked for over twenty years as a Press Operator at Bemis. He will always be remembered as a hardworking, loyal and dedicated person. Rod was a family man and an active father, who enjoyed being involved with his children’s sporting events. In addition to his love of sports, he enjoyed being outside, especially fishing and hunting with his boys. Rod’s great personality, and unwavering love towards his family and friends will live on for generations to come.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Teresa; children, Brayden and Brett; parents, Jack and Glenda Hendrixson of Terre Haute; grandparents, Fred and Onieda Alsman of Washington, IN.; brothers, Mark and wife Regina Hendrixson of Universal and Steven and wife Mary Hendrixson of Clayton, NC.; sister, Pamela Hendrixson and her husband, Richie Beat of Avon, IN.; mother and father-in-law, Connie and Bill Harrison of Grand Island, FL.; two nephews, Steven Paul Hendrixson of Clayton, NC. and Justin and wife Jennifer Hendrixson of Avon and his niece, Anna Jo Hendrixson of Universal. Rod’s memory will live on in the hearts of his several relatives, friends, and all of those whose lives he touched.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marvin and Dorcas Hendrixson and his uncle, Lee Hendrixson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 9, 2012 from 5 p.m. until the time of Rod’s memorial service at 8 p.m. at the Roselawn Funeral Home in Terre Haute. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Rod may be directed to the American Heart Association.
