Ruth E. Freeman, 62, of Terre Haute, passed away at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Union Hospital. She was born March 6, 1950, in Farmersburg, to John and Olive Rice. She retired from DADC after 27 years of service.
She loved to read books and crochet.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are daughters, Vicky Freeman and Lora Woolley; brother, John Rice Jr.; grandchildren, Ashley, Ashton and Chris all Swearingen, David, Wanda, Cody and Mary all Woolley; great-grandchildren, Isabella and Skyler Swearingen.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Mattox-Fox Funeral Home, in Riley, with visitation Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Rick Parsons.
