Sherry Lynn Rice

Sherry was a graduate of Garfield High School and had previously worked at Columbia House. She was a member of Burnett Bible Church, the Home Extension Club and was very active in the Vigo County Fair with baking and flower arranging. Sherry loved gardening and flowers. She loved being a grandma and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a big animal lover.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, James and Agnes Havens.

She is survived by her children, Kimberly Cavanagh and Timothy Rice (spouse, DeAndre Burwell); grandchildren, Kayla Cavanagh and Matthew Cavanagh; her brother, James Havens (spouse, Terry Havens) and a large extended family.

Graveside services for Sherry will be on February 28, 2025, at 2:00pm at Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Sherry’s memory to Burnett Bible Church, PO Box 5194, Terre Haute, Indiana 47805 or to the Terre Haute Humane Society, 1811 South Fruitridge Avenue, Terre Haute, Indiana 47803.
