Obituary of TeAta Rose Hartman
TeAta Hartman, 75, of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on May 19, 1938, in Princeton, to William S. and Louise (Lecocq) Watson. She married James Hartman on August 25, 1956 and together they raised 3 children. TeAta was a member of Rio Grande Baptist Church, Eastern Star, and Daughters of the Nile. She was an avid reader. TeAta loved animals, especially her beloved dog, Coco. She and James raised and nurtured foster children together during the time they lived in New Mexico. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. TeAta is survived by her husband of 57 years, James Hartman of Terre Haute; their children, Michael Hartman and wife Kate, Melinda White, and Mitchell Hartman and his fiancée Marilyn Jones, all of Terre Haute; granddaughters Mistie Hartloff and husband Brandon, and Dawn Louise Webster, all of Indianapolis; great-grandchildren Morgan, Brayden, and Brenden Hartloff, all of Indianapolis; and a sister, Eva Fee and husband Randy of New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Larry Watson and Leon Herbert Watson. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 on Friday, October 25 at Roselawn Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will take place at 11 at the funeral home with Pastor Matt Larimer officiating. Burial will take place in Roselawn Memorial Park.
