Thelma Flo Marrs

Southwood Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born September 27, 1919 in Paris,

IL, she was the daughter of Leo Roy Swinford and Charity Mary (Irish) Swinford.

She married E. Wayne Marrs on August 1, 1939 and he passed February 26, 2005.

Thelma had worked as Secretary for the Vigo county School System at Deming,

Garfield and also Terre Haute North High school. She was a member and Deaconess

of the Maplewood Christian Church and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She also was

Sunday School Superintendant at Maplewood. She had been a member of. She loved

her family, friends and church.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna Allen and husband Herschell, Brazil; 3

grandchildren, Michelle Ellett and husband Archie, Lyons, IN, Michael Allen and

wife Jennifer, Norfolk, VA, and Marc Allen, Jasonville; great-grandchildren,

Charity Ellett, Jake Ellett, Gracie Allen, Ryleigh Allen, and Lauren Allen;

special niece Sally Stewart, Terre Haute; 2 special friends Ralph and Virginia

Brill, Terre Haute; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Her parents,

husband, son Jerry Marrs, and brothers, Wilbur, Duaine and Junior Swinford

preceded her.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10 to 12 PM at the Roselawn Funeral

Home. Services are at 12 PM with rev. Craig Wininger officiating. Burial will

follow in the Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be
