

Walter Leroy “Butch” Blueher, Jr., 50, of Terre Haute, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 13, 2017 in Springfield, OH. He was born on June 5, 1967, in Terre Haute to Walter Leroy Blueher, Sr. and JoAnn (Power) Blueher.
Butch is survived by his sons, Bailey Blueher and Logan Blueher of Terre Haute; sisters, Stacey McCallister and husband Thomas of Terre Haute, Lisa McDaniel and significant other, Bob Wrightsman of Terre Haute, Shari Blueher of West Terre Haute; step-sister, Lea Maynard and husband Jeff of Brazil; long-time companion, Shelley Greene of Terre Haute; special nieces and nephew, Anna McCallister, Ashley McCallister and fiancé Brad Fenton, Jessica McDaniel, Joshua McDaniel; special aunt and uncle Sherrie Leezer and Terry Power of Petersburg, IL; best friends, Scott McDaniel and Jason Schell; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Joshua Blueher; and brother, Joe Blueher.
Butch was a life-long truck driver and for the past several years, he drove for Scott McDaniel Trucking. Butch was also a member of the Painters Union and American Legion Post 104. With a big smile and great sense of humor, he could talk to anyone and never met a stranger. He loved to play cards, especially Euchre. He enjoyed playing pool and liked to tinker with things in his garage. Butch had a big heart and loved to help family, friends, or anyone in need. He enjoyed watching football and was an avid Washington Redskins fan. He touched many lives and he will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 17 and from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 18 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home. Butch will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park.
