

Wiley Charles Cox, 96, of Indianapolis, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 2, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Donna Hungerford James Cox; two children, Debra Walters (Tom) of Carmel, David Cox (Marlene) of Terre Haute; stepson, Tom James (Athena) of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Ellis and Chaney Walters, Jamie Cox Howard (Darrin), Darius McClendon (Jennifer); great grandchildren, Christina Humphrey, Joshua Arnold and Owen McClendon.
Wiley was born in Libertyville, Indiana on October 7, 1915 and was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Evans Cox.
Wiley was a U.S. Army Veteran, earning a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart in World War II. He was employed for 12 years by the Skelly/J. Paul Getty Oil Company.
Wiley was a former Sunday School Superintendent at Forest Park Bible Church in North Terre Haute. He was a member of the Berean Baptist Church in Leesburg, Florida and Chapelwood Baptist Church in Indianapolis. He was a devout Christian, who enjoyed passing out bible tracts, creating colorful ceramics and most of all, spending time with his family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2012 from 12:00 Noon until the time of Wiley’s Funeral at 2 p.m. at the Roselawn Funeral Home in Terre Haute. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Those desiring, may direct memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
