

William "Bill" W. Mahan, 79, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026. Born on August 21, 1947, Bill lived a life dedicated to his country, his career, and his beloved family. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He carried that sense of duty throughout his life. Bill went on to build a respected career in Quality Assurance at Hercules/AET Packaging Films.
Outside of work, Bill was a man of many creative talents and passions. He was an exceptionally skilled woodworker, spending countless hours creating beautiful, handcrafted gifts that his friends and family will cherish forever. He also had a quiet, reflective side, finding joy and expression in writing poetry. He had a deep affection for his dogs, an infectious sense of humor, and a lifelong love for laughing and joking with those around him.
Bill's greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Donna; his daughters, Julie and Amy; his grandchildren, Katie Frye, Cameron Frye, and Robert Collins; and his great-grandchildren, Ivy, Layla, Marleigh, and Arabella. His laughter, warmth, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Services will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home, 7500 North Clinton Street, Terre Haute, Indiana 47805. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m.
