William Lee Pence

He was a 1970 graduate of Garfield High School where he made many lifelong friends. He graduated from Indiana State University in 1974 and worked for eighteen years for Prudential Insurance. Bill was also the General Manager for Roselawn Funeral Home for ten years and was later employed at Hamilton Center. Before his retirement, he also worked for Securitas Security.

Bill enjoyed country living on his farm close to Rosedale. Cutting grass and tending to the Cress Cemetery were two of the many jobs he loved.

Bill is survived by his wife, Linda (Williams) Pence whom he married on May 4, 1979.

Bill and Linda have three children: Megan Pence and husband Norbert Yates of Jeffersonville, Kenna Haase and husband B.J. of Colorado and William (B.A.) Pence and wife Jennifer of Rosedale. Bill also loved and enjoyed his five wonderful grandchildren: Liberty Yates (8), Jacob Haase (17), Lucas Haase (13), Leah Pence (8) and Anna Pence (2). Bill was a loving husband, dad and grandpa. He will be missed very much.

The family will receive friends and family on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 11:00am to 2:00pm at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2:00pm on Saturday. Rev. William Herb will officiate the service. A private family burial will follow in the Cress Cemetery.
