A.T. was known as the “milkman” by all who knew him. He started his Borden’s milk route in 1961. He served the cities of Rockwall, Royse City, Josephine, Fate and Wylie. A.T. was awarded “Milkman of the Year” in 1972. His 1965 milk truck was used in 3 movies. If he wasn’t working, he was fishing. He enjoyed spending time at the lake house on Lake Palestine, Texas. A. T. retired September 2, 1997 and began new hobbies of gardening and wood working.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Gladys Kines Lockley; his parents; one brother, Billy Jack Lockley and great grandson Gavin Lockley.
A.T. Lockley is survived by his children, Cathy Blattman & husband John, Susan Lockley, Marla Hill & husband David, & Alan Lockley; brothers, Alton Lockley & Eddie Walter Lockley; grandchildren, Aimee Harrison & husband Scott, Alana Sinise, & Alan Lockley Jr. & wife Sarah; great grandchildren, Caitlyn, Zachary, Shelby, & Abigail; & his best friend his dog, Lucy. They will always cherish the memories of him.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Terrell, TX from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services will also be at Anderson-Clayton on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
