Bart Alan Sweazea, of Bedford, passed away July 13, 2014 in Boca Raton, FL. Bart was born January 18, 1972 in Terrell, TX to Bill and SanDee (Thurmond) Sweazea and was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Fruge. He grew up in Terrell and graduated from Terrell High School. He owned and operated Pangean Energy, L.L.C. where he traveled extensively for oil and gas development. Known for his easy going personality and hard work ethic, Bart was more renowned for his talent for being proficient at many instruments especially bass guitar. His amazing ability to play any instrument was very evident when he would hear a song and then go home and begin to play it on whichever instrument he chose. Bart played with many other musicians in many bands but most recently was very successful with his collaboration in the band, Gypsy Tree, with whom he recorded many songs. While music was his passion, Bart’s first priority in life was always to his wife, children and the rest of his family. He made sure that they were always provided for and never went without anything. To his friends and associates, Bart was the generous big-hearted man who could never do enough, give enough or be enough in times of need or in times of happiness. To say that Bart will be missed is an understatement. His smile and love for others will be a treasured memory and Bart’s tremendous impact on each life he touched will continue on in each person that was privileged to meet and know him.
