Betty Gay Whitworth, age 82, passed away on Thursday July 18, 2019. Betty was born March 21, 1937 in Winnsboro, Texas to Olvis Whitworth and Amie (Meeks) Whitworth.

She is preceded in death by her parents Olvis and Amie Whitworth, husband William Suggitt, one brother Cleburne Whitworth, nephew Terry Whitworth, niece Angela Pitts and her dear friend Howard Tucker.

Those left with cherished memories are her sister Reba and husband Bill Newton, two daughters, Sheila and husband James Wilburn and Lisa Johnson, eight grandchildren Billy and wife Cindy, Andy and wife Ashlee, Samuel and wife Sondra, and Bethany Wilburn, Randy and wife Megan Searcy, Tabitha and husband Juan Garcia, Jeffrey Johnson and Jonathon Simmons, eleven great-grandchildren, Justin Wilburn, Hannah Searcy, Evan and Nova Wilburn, Landon Garcia, Easton and Brooklyn Wilburn, Andrew and Sydney Garcia, Arson Lee and Kennedy Wilburn, one nephew Bryan Whittiker.

A visitation for Betty will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Anderson Clayton - Terrell. A funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM with a graveside service immediately after at Little Hope Cemetery in Little Hope, Texas.

Serving as pallbearers are Billy Wilburn, Andy Wilburn, Sam Wilburn, Randy Searcy, Jeffrey Johnson, Jonathan Simmons, Juan Garcia and Jason Lee.

I grew up next door to Betty,,she was a second mom, growing up,....I loved her so much. Sheila, Lisa, Reba and family,,,,I am sooooooo sorry for your loss. She was a beautiful / sweet woman..GOD BLESS ALL OF AND COMFORT ALL. MY PRAYERS R BEING SENT.

Aunt Betty was like a mother to me and I’m so sorry for her loss. She was loved by so many people and was such a wonderful person.
