Carolyn Marshall

Carolyn Marshall, of Terrell, passed away Dec. 28, 2014. She was born March 29, 1931 in Teague, TX to Travis and Grace Hood, both of whom preceded her in death along with her sister and brother in law, Grace and Earl Medlin and nephew, Barry Medlin. Carolyn was a member of First United Methodist Church in Terrell until her health began to decline. She had many hobbies and interests however she especially enjoyed scrapbooking with treasured photos to be given as gifts to family and friends. Watching old movies was another way that she enjoyed passing the time when she wasn’t able to be with family. Her love for her husband and her daughter were hallmarks of her kindness and she made sure to let them know every day how special each of them were to her.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jerry Marshall of Terrell; daughter, Holly Parham and husband, Darryl, of Terrell; grandchildren: Dr. Travis Nance of Galveston, Grace Nance of Kaufman, Katie Parham of Terrell, Jarred Parham of Terrell,; Greg Parham of Durango, CO; great grandchildren: Alexis and Bliss Parham; sister: Mary Ann Harris; nephews: Larry Medlin, Russell Medlin and David Wells as well as other extended family and friends.

Funeral service will be at 2:00pm, Saturday, Jan. 3, 2014 at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Chapel with interment to follow at College Mound Cemtery. The family will receive friends 6-8pm, Friday, Jan. 2, at the funeral home.
