OBITUARY
Deanna Lou Simmons
January 3, 1937 – January 19, 2021
Deanna Lou Simmons of Terrell, Texas was born on January 3, 1937 in Royse City, Texas to Dean and Opal (Howell) Wester. She went to be with our Lord and Savior on January 19, 2021 at the age of 84.
Deanna graduated from Royse City High School in 1955 then moved to Mesquite to raise her family for approximately 30 years then moved to Terrell. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother as well as a lover of all pets.
She is preceded in death by her father Dean Wester, mother Opal Howell Wester, sister Darlene Sanders, brother Dwayne Wester, and niece Toni Everett.
She is survived by her three children Robert Paul Simmons (Joanna), Tina Rae Simmons (Joe), Jeffrey Buck Simmons (Kelly); seven grandchildren Richard Douglas Holt Jr (Rosie), Jason Dean Simmons (Maggie), Tucker Britt Simmons (Bree), Daniel Cruz, Ashley Cabrera, Ally Simmons and Ellie Simmons; four great grandchildren William Jason Holt, Lucas Paul Holt, Blakelee Wren Simmons, and Colston Rex Simmons as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Anderson-Clayton Funeral Home in Terrell, Texas from 6 - 8 pm. The memorial service will be held at Anderson-Clayton on January 30, 2021 at 2 pm with intermittent graveside immediately following the service at Oakland Memorial Park Cemetery in Terrell.
There will be a Facebook live event on the Anderson-Clayton Bros Facebook page for those that may not be able to attend. We hope you will help celebrate Deanna’s life with us.
