Grace Richards Deibler, devoted wife of Ted, beloved mother of Lois, Tim and Tom and faithful follower of Jesus Christ, quietly entered the presence of her Lord at 11:00am on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Colonial Lodge in Terrell, Tx. She had lived a full life of 101 years. Born on October 21, 1913 in Philadelphia, Pa, Grace graduated from Hartford Township High School and Philadelphia School of the Bible. She married Edwin C. “Ted” Deibler in June of 1940 and for 62 years was utterly devoted to him, supporting and encouraging him as he pastored churches and taught at the Bible College and seminary level. God blessed their union, a model of Christian love and courtesy, with a daughter, Lois, whom He called home to Heaven at the age of two, and sons, Timothy and Thomas, born after she had prayed for twin boys for five years. Tim went home to Jesus in 2011. In addition to her roles as wife and mother--which she filled admirably--Grace loved to teach God’s word and minister to women and children in many different settings, including Sunday School and released-time classes, Bible camps and clubs, church services, women’s conferences, nursing home Bible studies and home Bible studies. She was always ready to share her love of Christ through music. She had a vibrant alto voice and played piano well into her nineties. So many have been encouraged and blessed by Grace’s witness for Christ, her kindness and her cheerful disposition. Grace is survived by her son Tom Deibler and his wife, Kathi; her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Deibler, her four grandchildren and their spouses whom she loved dearly: Matt and Heather, Michael and Ember, Nate and Lindsay, and Christine and David. She was so proud of her great grandchildren: Samuel, Daniel, Emery, Layton, Kylee, Drew and Aubree, and she is also survived by numerous extended family members and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, January 10, 2014 at Terrell Bible Church, 801 Johnson, Terrell, TX 75160. The family will receive friends 6-8pm, Friday, January 9, 2014 at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral home. For those wishing to honor the memory of Grace’s devoted service to her Lord, memorials may be made to Terrell Bible Church, 801 Johnson, Terrell, 75160.
